Lakewood International Academy’s senior phase provides a dynamic, multicultural environment that supports learners through the important transition of early adolescence. Our focus is on equipping learners with the academic knowledge, critical thinking skills, and emotional resilience necessary to transition smoothly into high school and beyond.
Technology is integrated purposefully to deepen learning and prepare learners for further study and a rapidly changing world. Our dedicated team of educators works closely with the Further Education and Training (FET) department, fostering a cohesive, aligned learning experience that supports a coherent transition into the FET Phase and the final years of secondary schooling. By recognising each learner’s potential, we encourage both logical and creative thinking based on their individual strengths. We believe in nurturing curiosity, promoting independent problem-solving, and delivering a hands-on, practical curriculum that equips learners with essential skills for lifelong success.

Grade 7
In Grade 7, learners begin three additional subjects—Creative Arts, Technology and Economic and Management Sciences—bringing the total to nine. Educators provide structured guidance to help learners manage the increased academic workload.
